Aweber double opt-in disable

So I sent request to disable double opt-in at Aweber, this is their reply:

At this time, the confirmation requirement for API submissions must remain on. We will need to see that users being added to your list are confirming for a few weeks before we are able to remove that requirement. When people have been clicking that confirmation link and you are actively sending from that account, we would be happy to review this again.

So is it always the case that they can’t disable this feature until many clicks? Thanks!


Maybe your account is new. You could get some leads with solo ads or some other ways and then try this again.

At this time, you should add a confirm message to your list and have people confirm their subscription.

I find at Aweber, "List Options-> List Settings -> Confirmation message settings , we can turn off “send confirmation message for Aweber sign up forms”, is that the same as disable double opt in?


No this one os a different thing. You can can try but based on my experience it doesn’t work for some reason.
